Triple Pleat Curtains
Triple Pleat Curtains are the most traditional form of Pinch Pleat Curtains. Using Pleats to gather curtain fabric probably originated in the 15th century and their appearance evolved over time. The Triple Pleat would generally require Two-and-a-half times fullness (very generous with the fabric) a twin Pleat perhaps Double fullness and a Single or Cartridge Pleat perhaps 1.6 times fullness.

The Triple Pleat is sometimes also known as a French Pleat, our Pinch Pleats are created by hand. We insert Buckram between the facecloth and the lining(s). Measure carefully and pin the pleats into position. Then machine sew for added strength. We are stitching through multiple layers of buckram and fabric.
