We make our Unique Pleat Curtain Heading with Buckram and not with Heading Tape. The Buckram is inserted between the facecloth and the lining and the Unique Pleats are created by hand. First measured carefully and pinned, then sewn into place. The Unique Pleat came about by accident when we were seeking to create heavily interlined curtains with a Triple Europleat. Because of the weight of the interlining and the woven facecloth the pleating was not happy, but when we showed the client the curtains with the triple pleats stitched but not pinched, they fell in love, and our Unique Pleat was born.
